May-June Junior Group Tennis Lessons (Indoor Courts at the Oshawa Civic Recreational Complex)
May-June - registration is open
Thursdays: May 2 - June 6, 6 weeks, cost: $150 + hst
The registration is open to anyone and is based on age and previous tennis experience.

The courts are located at the Oshawa Civic Recreational Complex, located at 99 Thornton Rd. South in Oshawa.
Please note, that there is no spectator policy at the dome. All parents are required to drop of their children at the indoor courts and pick them up uppon completion of the lesson. Parent can wait in the board room located right beside the entrance to the tennis courts. Due to no spectator policy junior group lessons are offered for children ages 5 and older. For younger children private lessons can be arranged.
Sign-up is based on a first come, first served basis.

Please register by using our online registration. In case if you would prefer to use a differnet form of payment than a credit card, we accept cash and e-transfer. Please register online and send us e-transfer the same day to matchpoint.tennis@rogers.com and/or drop off cash at our pro-shop.
Plesae note, that there are no refunds once a program begins!
These group lessons are for children that have no or very little experience.
Special, low compression bounce balls, mini nets will be used. Players will be playing on a proper size of the court.
The focus will be on developing eye-hand coordination and rally skills. Juniors will be learning how to receive and send balls at different height and distance. The session will cover forehand, backhand volley and introduction to serve.

Low Intermediate Ages 7-9
These arrange lessons are for children that have completed at least one or two sessions of beginner lesson. Players registered for this program should be able to rally 3-4 times across the mini net continually.
Special, low compression bounce balls, mini nets and modified size of the court will be used.
The session will continues working on improving rally skills and the fundamentals: forehand, backhand ,volley, serve, return of serve with emphasizes of using proper grips and set-up for the ground strokes. The U9 group will be introduced to directional control. Basic rules and tennis etiquette will be introduced.
Low Intermediate Ages 10-14
These arrange lessons are for children that have completed at least one or two sessions of beginner lessons or are able to rally 3-4 times across the net at 3/4 of the court.
This session will continues working on improving rally skills, serve and return of serve. Proper grips on ground strokes, net play and serve will be emphasized. There will be introduction to overhead, basic tactics and strategy for singles and doubles as well as to directional control. Basic rules and tennis etiquette will be reviewed.
